Anti Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week kicks off today with the overall theme of "Safer Together - Safer Wherever".

Events are taking place in schools all over the British Isles - the Isle of Man included - and will focus on tackling bullying at all hours of the day, especially via mobile phone, email and social networking sites.

Children are being urged to speak up and tell their parents, teachers or any other adults they trust if they're being targeted.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance's founder and North West Co-ordinator, Alison O'Brien, says so-called 'cyber-bullying' can be particularly troubling for them:
