Flapgate modifications

by isleofman.com 19th November 2007
Final modifications to Peel’s flapgate are expected to be made next week.

Problems with the gate were identified after it couldn’t cope with heavy rain combined with a high tide.

The Department of transport says work on the final stages of modifying the harbour gates will start on Thursday.

It’s thought the work will take a total of three days to complete.
