Manx should monitor for radiation

The Celtic League says the Manx Government should take party in a radiation monitoring scheme taking place in Cumbrian and Southern Scotland.

The programme will see ?100,000 paid by the Scottish and English governments spent on looking for radioactive hotspots around the Irish Sea.

But so far our government says it won’t take part – something the League says it can’t understand.

Director of Information Bernard Moffatt (pictured) says he doesn’t believe cash from the UK would compromise the scientific results:
