TT officer looking forward to role

The Department of Tourism and Leisure's newest Rider Liaison Officer says he's delighted at the prospect of putting something back into the TT.

It's been revealed former rider John Barton, who raced at the TT for 17 years, will join existing RLO Richard 'Milky' Quayle at next year's event.

They operate as a link between the teams, riders, race officials and promoters and also work closely with race newcomers.

John says his and Milky's experience as competitors gives them a unique insight into how the TT works and is ideal preparation for this role (audio file attached):
