Sick people losing allowances

Chronically sick young people in nursing and residential homes are missing out on allowances, an MHK is claiming.

Onchan member Peter Karran says they’re not receiving payments they're entitled to, similarly to elderly nursing home residents whose allowances are being swallowed up by the rise in home charges.

Earlier this week, Mr Karran (pictured) condemned private nursing homes for putting up their fees above recommended rates.

He’s urging action for the young people - and quick:
