Sentence on a 17 year old youth who punched another man causing eye injuries has been adjourned by the High Bailiff for reports.

Andrew Edward Caley of Christian Road in Douglas admitted affray.

Inspector Michael Masson, prosecuting, said police answered a 999 call to the Rosemount Hotel at 12.30 am on August 2nd.

On arrival they were told there had been trouble inside the pub which continued outside, where the police saw a man, Barry Davis, lying on the pavement covered in blood.

The defendant was seen to punch Mr Davis several times. He had injuries to his left eye which required 13 stitches. Caley said there had been an argument between the pair.

Mr Moyle granted him bail until December 4th.
