Gran gives meningitis warning

Parents are again being warned of the dangers of meningitis.

The disease most commonly effects young children, and can be fatal if not treated immediately.

Grandmother Carol Quine (pictured) lost a baby sister to meningitis when she, herself, was just three years old, and earlier this year her young grandson was left deaf in one ear when he caught the disease.

However, she is full of praise for the doctors who treated the boy:
