Gaaue lecture on oil consumption

The Agriculture Minister is to give a talk about world oil consumption as part of the 'Cooish' celebrations.

The week long programme of events, including concerts, workshops, lectures, music and language sessions, got underway yesterday.

Phil Gawne will present the Gaaue lecture, entitled 'What will we do when the oil runs out?' at Ballafesson Methodist Hall on Wednesday evening.

Mr Gawne (pictured) says the issue is important to him on many levels and we need to consider our options before it's too late.

However, he doesn't think converting to bio-fuel is one of them:
