Care worker suspended

A St Christopher’s care worker in the Isle of Man is under investigation by police after an allegation of serious sexual assault.

The residential care worker has been suspended from the operator, which is contracted to the Department of Health and social Security, pending police inquiries.

A statement from the DHSS says the worker is not employed by the department but it is cooperating with the criminal investigation.

No further details have been released.
