MLC in court again

by isleofman.com 9th November 2007
A member of the Legislative Council will appear in court again today (Fri).

Eddie Lowey is charged with driving without due care and attention after an accident near the bottom of Richmond Hill in November last year.

His car struck Port Erin man Chris Walmsley outside the former Ballakennish nurseries.

The hearing began last month, and debate about how certain evidence should be taken led to an adjournment.

It revolved around whether the fact Mr Lowey had clipped Mr Walmsley's car before hitting him was significant to the charge.

It's expected proceedings will conclude today.
