Honesty and adoption go together

by isleofman.com 8th November 2007

When it comes to adoption honesty is the best policy, according to the Manager of the Isle of Man Adoption Service.

Katrina Morris says the process involves a lot more than simply handing over a child to a new family, and support is available for everyone involved.

Mrs Morris maintains it's always better to tell a person they are adopted when they are still young, so it doesn't come as an unpleasant shock later in life (audio file attached):

Katrina Morris was speaking to Dan Davies in a Talking Heads feature on National Adoption Week.
