by isleofman.com 2nd November 2007
A 22 year-old man who attacked two bouncers, one of whom was knocked out, has been jailed for four months.

Nathan Thomas Kelly, of Palatine Road, Douglas admitted assault causing actual bodily harm, after an incident outside Strand 58 on September 8.

The court heard Kelly became aggressive after he was refused entry.

The court was told he squared up to one of the bouncers, Trevor Christian, and attempted to bite off his colleague's nose.

Despite being repeatedly led away from the bar, he came back and punched Mr Christian, who was knocked unconscious and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

In addition to his prison sentence, Kelly was banned from on-licenced premises for 12 months.
