DoT content with sailing changes

It has emerged the Department of Transport was content with changes to the Steam Packet’s winter schedule which have ruled out weekend day trips to Liverpool.

In the House of Keys today, North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson asked whether the Office of Fair Trading would be taking any action over the move, which has angered football supporters and those who enjoy shopping trips to the city.

But Tim Crookall, MHK, revealed there had been no consumer complaints to the OFT and the changes had been notified to the DoT in good time, as required by the user agreement (audio file attached):
