by isleofman.com 27th October 2007
W.D. Caroe, the architect who designed St. Ninian’s Church in Douglas, will be the main feature as the Manx National Heritage winter lecture programme begins at the Manx Museum (pictured) this evening (Friday).

Hosted by MNH and the Isle of Man Victorian Society, it will be presented by Dr Jennifer Freeman, former secretary of the Victorian Society in the UK and now director of the Historic Chapels Trust.

Dr. Freeman is actively working towards the preservation and protection of redundant chapels and other places of worship in England of outstanding architectural and historic interest.

The lecture, which starts at 7:30pm is free of charge and will be followed through the winter by a series of eight illustrated lecture and film nights at the museum.
