Bonfire safety launch

Firefighters, Police and Office of Fair Trading staff have joined forces to launch this years Bonfire Night Safety Campaign.

The aim of the launch is to make people aware of the dangers and the appropriate use of fireworks.

Police will be removing litter bins along Marine Drive for the duration of the fortnight, following incidents last year.

Fire sub-officer Karl Kinvig (pictured, right) hopes the campaign will prevent accidents and help people have a danger-free bonfire night:
