Local lads head for Timbuktu

Three intrepid Manx drivers are embarking on the journey of a lifetime and driving an old banger all the way to Timbuktu!

Juan McGuinness from Ramsey (pictured, left), Ben Watterson from Douglas (pictured, right) and James Jones who is currently in Bristol, only have a couple of months to prepare for their African adventure and are hoping that members of the Isle of Man motor trade will offer practical and financial help to get them there safely.

Their vehicle is a rusty 17-year old Land Rover Discovery, though it's not the first desert trip Juan's been involved in:
