ACHE change tack

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2007
Carers in the Island who are seeking better support from the DHSS are dropping a threat to withdraw their labour.

Aggrieved Carers Helping Each other, or ACHE, want improved adult respite facilities, and are asking the government to look at 'more dynamic systems to deal with disability'.

ACHE spokesman John Sheppard (pictured) says members of the group couldn't face letting down the people in their care, but their threatened legal action will still go ahead, if government fails to meet a deadline it's been given:

The DHSS has told Manx Radio it is examining the issues raised by ACHE.
