An Island man left fighting for his life after a vicious attack in Preston is said to be 'improving' in hospital.
Twenty-six year old Alex Messenger was assaulted in the early hours of September 29.
He has been in a critical but stable condition for several weeks but has now been moved out of the critical care ward at the Royal Preston Hospital.
Three men aged 23, 19 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further inquries.
