Minister storms from Tynwald chamber

The implications are still being assessed after a government Minister stormed out of the Tynwald chamber yesterday, angry at comments directed at the Chief Constable.

North Douglas member John Houghton was approaching the end of a speech, arguing that there should be a re-assessment of the "ethos and management" of the police.

The chamber door can be heard slamming as Local Government and Environment Minister and former Home Affairs Minister John Shimmin (pictured) took his sudden leave:
