Head talks about new extension

A former Head Girl at Ramsey Grammar will open the new ?6.5 million extension at the school next week.

Anne Craine, who is now the Minister for Education and an MHK for the town, will perform the duty on Wednesday.

Staff were effectively given a blank sheet of paper and asked what they would like, and they now have a state of the art facility, with science labs, art and design rooms and a special needs unit.

It also boasts 'Smart Boards', the latest alternative to a blackboard and the first of their type in the British Isles, as Head Teacher David Trace (pictured, centre) explains:
