Chemotherapy hair loss service

by isleofman.com 9th October 2007
A new service has been launched, aimed at supporting people affected by hair loss due to chemotherapy.

LookAhead is designed to offer personal and practical help when hair loss occurs.

Volunteers will demonstrate the use of headscarves, hairpieces and hats, including beanies, and how to achieve the fashionable Kylie look!

The project is being funded by The Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association and will be run by a team of trained volunteers and staff on Monday evenings, once a fortnight.

Volunteer Amanda Illingworth believes it will prove a beneficial service (audio file attached):

Anyone wanting to find out more about the service, or book a consultation, can contact the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Office on 650735.
