Three arrests after Preston attack

Three men were arrested in Preston this morning in connection with an incident in which a 26 year old Manxman received serious injuries.

Alex Messenger, a former Rushen United footballer and son of former Port St Mary commissioner Harry Messenger, was attacked in the city in the early hours of September 26.

He remains in hospital in Preston.

Investigating Officer Dave McKenna says the assault may have continued after he fell to the ground (audio file attached):

Police in Preston are still appealing for information about the incident and anybody who can help is asked to ring Preston police on 01772 203 203.
