Polish evenings in Douglas

Social evenings for the Island's ever increasing Polish population are going from strength to strength.

The gatherings, held at the Amber Lounge on Douglas Promenade every Thursday, offer those attending a range of food and drink from their homeland.

Police officers regularly turn up to socialise with the new residents.

Sergeant Mark Britton (pictured) hopes the evenings will strengthen relations between the Constabulary and the Eastern Europeans (audio file attached):
