Forum seeks views on policing

by isleofman.com 6th October 2007
The Island’s Police Consultative Forum is seeking the public’s views on policing in the Isle of Man..

Acting Chairman Bob Jeavons says recent developments have recognised the need to listen to the public in determining priorities.

He says the emphasis on local policing has allowed each division to focus on their own circumstances and come up with solutions, adding that it’s encouraging to see real progress being made with multi-agency cooperation.

He believes it’s already made a significant contribution towards reducing crime.

Forum members represent all areas of the Island and anyone wishing to find out more should write to: The Forum Administrator, Karen Greatbatch at the Department of Home Affairs, Homefield, 88 Woodbourne Road, Douglas.
