'Encouraging' crime figures

Crime across the Isle of Man is down 16 per cent, but assaults in Douglas and the east are up nine and a half per cent.

Figures released today also show drugs offences fell by ten per cent compared to the same period last year, although that is 39.6 per cent higher than two years ago.

Home Affairs Minister Martyn Quayle (pictured) says the half year statistics are very encouraging:
