From North America to Laxey

The Department of Tourism and Leisure is hoping for good publicity from forthcoming travel reviews in America and Canada.

Members of the Society of American Travel Writers have been on the Isle of Man, touring its hotspots, ahead of their annual conference in Manchester.

Journalists from The Washington Post, New York One News, The LA Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer are being shown around by department officials.

Retired Canadian newspaper writer Doreen Kerby says the Island will appeal to her readers (audio file attached):
