The Department of Tourism and Leisure is hoping for good publicity from various travel reviews, soon to be published in America and Canada.

Members of the Society of American Travel Writers are on the Island, touring its hotspots, as part of a whirlwind visit prior to their annual conference in Manchester.

Journalists from the Washington Post, New York One News, The LA Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer are being shown around by tourism representatives.

Retired Canadian newspaper writer Doreen Kerby says the Island will appeal to her readers:
