Fire at Summerhill

by isleofman.com 5th October 2007
Investigations are continuing to try and find the cause of a fire at a property in Onchan.

It happened in a coal store and outside toilet in Summerhill in the early hours of this morning, and it took over an hour to bring the blaze under control .

A thermal image camera was used to find hot spots in the roof timbers, and crews used hand tools to cut parts of the structure away.

There were people in the property at the time, but no one was in any danger.
