High praise for ambulance service

by isleofman.com 3rd October 2007
Ambulance staff will continue to be taught in the Isle of Man, instead of having to go to the United Kingdom for training.

The DHSS Ambulance Training Centre has been commended by the Institute of Health Care and Development, the awarding body for ambulance-related qualifications.

An Institute representative was particularly impressed with the method of annual assessment which, he said, far exceeded what happened in most UK centres.

Chief Ambulance Officer, Steve Sieling (pictured) says the Island has a forward thinking and enthusiastic team, which is often a pace setter in relation to training initiatives.
