Central nebuliser service

A new centralised nebuliser service has been brought in by the Department of Health and Social Security and it's thought it'll greatly improve on what was previously on offer

It's the result of two years work by the Respiratory Team to review and develop the existing system and focuses on those who need to use the equipment long term at home.

Nebulisers are used to treat lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

Respiratory Nurse Specialist, Debbie Corrin, says the new system is much more patient focused:
