The legend of King Orry

Manx folklore and historical legend King Orry has been in the news recently.

Its following the decision that the new Primary school in Ramsey will be called Scoill Ree Gorree, or King Orry's School.

The Viking ruler, real name Godrad Crovan, died in 1095 and was the first in a long ruling dynasty of kings.

Manx Heritage field archaeologist, Andrew Johnson, says the life of Crovan is steeped in mystery and intrigue:
