Manx beer gets world award

Staff at an Isle of Man brewery are saying 'cheers' to plaudits for two of their bottled beers.

Brewers at Okells, based in Kewaigue near Douglas, have hit on a winning formula with their 1907 I.P.A - which has won the title 'Best Strong Pale Ale' in the World Beer Awards.

And there's been more high profile-recognition for their Aile Smoked Celtic Porter - featured recently in a Mail on Sunday article - and on a satellite TV food and drink programme.

Assistant Brewer Dr Dan Kerruish (pictured) says the Island's beers are going down well in British pubs:
