Don't forget your tax form!

by isleofman.com 1st October 2007
If you haven't sent in your annual personal tax return - now's the time to act.

There are just SIX days left for submitting the forms to the Isle of Man Treasury.

Those who miss the deadline are being warned they face a ?50 fine.

Marian Kenny reports:

(Text of attached audio)
The deadline for completed tax returns for the year ended 5 April 2007, is this Saturday, 6th October.

Long queues built-up at the income tax office during the week before last year's deadline.

So if you want to avoid a last-minute panic, get the forms completed in the next day or so.

Taxpayers are reminded they can post the form using the free mailing label sent out with the returns.

Or they can be put in the letterboxes at the main reception or the second floor of Central Government Office in Douglas.

There will be extended opening hours at the income tax office this Thursday and Friday, from 8.30 in the morning until 5pm.

Those who fail to make the deadline will be fined ?50 - and must still submit their tax return.

And there'll be a further ?50 penalty if the forms are not submitted by 6 April next year.
