Hotel plans welcomed by Minister

The Trade and Industry Minister has welcomed the prospect of two new hotels being built in Ramsey.

David Cretney was speaking after Seymar Developments unveiled plans for a 30 bedroom hotel with restaurant, alongside 96 apartments, on a site between Mooragh Park and the Mooragh Promenade.

It follows the announcement, a fortnight ago, that Fistral Property Investments is planning to develop a 32 bedroom hotel, restaurant and bar at the corner of Parliament Street and East Street.

Mr Cretney says it’s good news for Ramsey and the Island as a whole (audio file attached):
