Airport Director 'exciting times'

Ronaldsway's new Director thinks there are challenging but also exciting times ahead at the airport.

Ann Reynolds (pictured), who took over from Philip Pain in May, says the runway extension project will greatly increase plane and passenger safety and bring it up to standard for forthcoming European Union legislation.

Ms Reynolds also hopes for a turnaround in passenger numbers to some destinations and is looking forward to the return of the Luton route, which'll be operated by Flybe from the end of October.

She says security is one of her top priorities and believes the Island must always use any measures brought in at UK airports:
