Head welcomes exam changes

An Island Headteacher is hoping changes to the exam system in England and the Isle of Man will put an end to suggestions they are being 'dumbed down'.

Sue Moore from Queen Elizabeth II High, who is a member of the National Council of the Association of School and College Leaders, says separating the body which sets exams from the one that checks them could be a good thing.

The standard of GCSE and A-level results has been rising for the past twenty years.

Ms Moore (pictured) says the move could bring a number of benefits:
