Public meeting on Bradda Glen

by isleofman.com 26th September 2007
A public meeting will be held this evening (Wednesday) to discuss the future of the Bradda Glen complex in Port Erin.

Earlier this year, Port Erin Commissioners announced plans to sell the Bradda Glen restaurant but its bid has been temporarily derailed by Tynwald after village resident John Maddrell presented a memorial at the bar claiming the commissioners hadn’t consulted ratepayers about the suggestion.

He wants the site to be secured for the nation, rather than being sold off privately by the local authority:

The meeting, which has been organised by the commissioners, takes place at Rushen Primary School at seven o’clock and will be chaired by Brian Rae.
