Manx food campaign launched

School children in the Isle of Man are being encouraged to take an active interest in Manx produce.

The Food and Farming in Schools campaign was launched this afternoon by DAFF Minister Phil Gawne and MHK Bill Henderson.

The initiative will give teachers the resources to bring topical agricultural issues alive in their classrooms.

This campaign came about in response to the recent success of the 'I Love Manx' project which saw farming markets hosted by local schools.

Food and Farming in Schools Co-ordinator Ffinlo Costain (pictured) is expecting a positive response from the young scholars:
