Geoff Cannell remembered

Geoff Cannell's substantial contribution to different areas of life in the Isle of Man were recognised when Manx Radio asked members of the public how they remembered him.

Mr Cannell, who passed away last night, was regarded by many as the 'voice of sport' in the Island, but he was also a politician, education administrator, journalist, broadcaster and a renowned public speaker.

He was regarded as a true Manxman, who always spoke his mind, and was a great supporter of the Island.
