Geoff Cannell the politician

by isleofman.com 25th September 2007
Former Chief Minister Donald Gelling has been remembering the contribution made to Manx politics by Geoff Cannell, who passed away last night, at the age of 65.

Mr Cannell (pictured) was an MHK for Onchan from 1998 to 2001, and was a serving member of the Board of Education.

Mr Gelling shared these thoughts with Howard Caine (audio file attached):

The Department of Education says it's shocked and saddened at the death of Mr Cannell, who it describes as 'a valuable board member and active school governor'.

It says its thoughts and sympathies are with Mr Cannell’s wife, Lynda, and daughter, Zoe, at this time.
