MS Fram in the bay

by isleofman.com 25th September 2007
The Isle of Man welcomes the newly commissioned MS Fram cruise ship this morning (Monday).

The 114 metre long, 12,700 ton vessel, is scheduled to berth in Douglas at eight o’clock from Londonderry and is carrying 318 passengers and 150 crew.

Passengers will be on guided tours throughout the day to Laxey, Snaefell, the House of Manannan and Tynwald.

The ship, which is on a 67 day Hurtigruten cruise from the Arctic to the Antarctic, will be presented with a plaque by Tourism Minister Adrian Earnshaw, to mark her first visit to the Island.

The MS Fram will then depart for Cork at six o’clock this evening and is due to return to the Island again next year.
