Conflicts of interest law?

The Positive Action Group is calling for new laws to deal with conflicts of interest involving politicians.

The group says it’s currently a theme in the public hearings of the Select Committee of Tynwald on the Affairs of Braddan Commissioners, but has been seen time and time again.

The group, which is submitting its evidence to the select committee, says it hopes one result will be the introduction of a Conflicts of Interest Act.

Roger Tomlinson, chairman of the PAG, thinks the new laws are needed:
