Foot and mouth - no change

by isleofman.com 18th September 2007
The Department of Agriculture says no new restrictions will be introduced as a result of the latest case of foot and mouth in Surrey.

Cattle on a farm in the protection zone have the disease but were to be slaughtered anyway as a precaution.

Bio-security measures were re-introduced at the Sea Terminal and Ronaldsway Airport following a new outbreak last week.

However, because there haven't been any livestock imports for two months, the department hasn't stopped animal movements within the Island.
