Donkeys join the cats

by isleofman.com 18th September 2007
Two adorable four-legged friends are settling-in to their new home at the Mann Cat Sanctuary in Santon.

As all supporters of the Sanctuary know, the place is not just for felines.

It is fast becoming a Noah's Ark to all sorts of homeless animals - ducks, turkeys and goats to name a few!

This time, they've taken in two baby donkeys - a male and a female, or a jack and jenny to use the proper terms.

MannCat Sanctuary owner Sue Critchley is delighted with the new arrivals: (audio clip)

There's just one snag - the baby donkeys don't have a name yet. So a competition's going to be launched to find the best names for the brother and sister, which should complement each other.

Any ideas worth braying (!) about - get in touch with the Sanctuary, or call in on Wednesday or Sunday afternoons!
