Downie announces fines amnesty

Motorists with outstanding fixed penalty fines have been given an amnesty to pay them off, before they are charged double.

The General Registry says as of November 1, the Coroner will take over the police job of enforcing the fines, and the price will rise from ?60 to ?120.
