Motorist suffered massive trauma

The Deputy Coroner has opened and adjourned an inquest on a motorist who died in a road accident on the Archallagan Road in Foxdale last month.

Alistair Montgomerie was told 21 year old Christopher James Oates died of 'massive trauma' and he was outside his car when the first paramedic arrived.

Mr Oates, of Anagh Coar, Douglas was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened in the early hours of Saturday, August 25th and two passengers in the car received minor injuries.

Mr Montgomerie released the body to the family and adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
