Milestone for Bunscoill

The Island's Manx language school has reached a significant milestone - its first intake of pupils have just started high school.

Three of the original students from Bunscoill Ghaelgagh primary have joined Queen Elizabeth the Second in Peel where they will be taught five lessons a week - geography, R.E. and history - in Manx.

This will continue until they begin studying for GCSEs.

Bunscoill teacher, Paul Rogers, says use of the Manx language is growing and hopes it will continue to do so in the future:
