Border TV Tynwald motion

Should the Isle of Man get its regional TV news from the North East of the United Kingdom?

That’s what would happen under plans to close the Border newsroom in Carlisle and instead provide a news service through Tyne Tees television.

But the suggestions have angered many, who are now calling for the company to scrap the plans.

Juan Turner MLC worked for Border for many years. He’s tabled a motion in Tynwald for the October sitting which could see the Isle of Man leave the Border region:
