CD-ROM on fire safety

A CD-ROM promoting the importance of fire safety has been made available to all of the Isle of Man's schools.

The multi-media package features interactive games, and a short drama filmed on the Island with the intention of capturing the children's imagination.

The fire and rescue service says the CD-Rom is a refreshing change in the way that fire safety is taught to pupils, and it is hoped it'll bring raised awareness.

Fire Safety Officer Carl Kinvig thinks the new scheme will be a great success:
