Autumn safety plea to motorists

Police are pleading with motorists to make it a safe autumn on the Island's roads.

They are urging drivers to do all they can to ensure there are no serious accidents in the run-up to Christmas.

Inspector Derek Flint (pictured), from the Roads Policing Unit, says the impact on families and friends when loved ones are hurt is huge, although few of those who take risks behind the wheel consider that:
